Favourite Face Masks

Some of you may know from previous posts that i have done that I am some what of a face mask junkie. My collection is quite large so I have tried a lot and thought i would share may favourite ones with you! There are a few high end ones and a few more affordable ones to cater to everyones budget!

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask £42
This is mask is the more expensive ones in my collection but i honestly think it is worth the high price tag. Just like any other face mask that i have used you must cleanse your skin before hand. If you read my last post you will know that i've been using Soap & Glory's Foamy Moisture Face Wash with my Clarisonic Mia 2 to do this job. Once your face is nice and clean you can apply the mask. The first thing i noticed about this product is the smell, my god the smell! It smells exactly like oranges which i absolutely love if you couldn't already tell! The consistency starts of gel like, but once applied to your face is turns into this glorious, orange scented foam. You only have to leave this mask on for 5 minutes so its a good one for when your in a rush. After the five minutes is up just rinse away for soft & luminous skin. I must say i can't normally tell an immediate difference in my skin after using most mask but i can definitely tell a difference with this one. Purchase this mask here

Michael Todd True Organics Kaolin Clay Detoxifying Facial Mask £20.52
This clay mask is probably once of the best anti acne masks i have ever tried. It claims to 'unclog pores, reduce bacteria and nourish, tone and heal on and below the skin’s surface' and i fully believe that is does all that! Just like all other masks cleanse and maybe exfoliate before application. Once you apply the mask it starts to dry almost instantly and you can really feel it drawing out all the nasty, horrible, gross stuff in your skin that we obviously don't want there. The scent is quite neutral, it doesn't smell amazing but it doesn't smell horrible either. Once the mask is completely dry remove with a muslin cloth for further exfoliation. The morning after using this I can tell a noticeable decrease in my spots and my skin all round looks better. Purchase this little beauty here.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment £44.99
This is hands down the most expensive mask I have my my large collection of facial goodies but is also probably the best, most effective mask i own. Yes this mask may be expensive but by god its worth it! This mask is like magic in a pot. Not only does it help to brighten and even the complexion, for a more youthful, smoother skin tone it de-clogs and minimises pore size and fights unwanted breakouts, by reducing redness and speeding up skin's healing process. As i am very acne prone and almost always have some sort of breakout going on this mask is an absolute life saver. Sometimes if i have a really stubborn spot that just doesn't want to budge i'll apply some with a cotton but to the spot and leave it on overnight and when i wake up, as if by magic the spot is gone. Purchase this super mud here

Soap and Glory Fab Pore 2-in-1 Facial Pore Purifying Mask & Peel £10
This little wonder not only purifies the skin but it also exfoliates. As always apply to clean skin for the best results. The first thing i noticed about this mask/peel was the colour, it is a vibrant mint colour that instantly makes my happy when ever I use it. When you apply the mask you'll notice that it has tiny little beads dispersed through out that add an extra bit of exfoliation in when you remove the mask. I use this mask when my skin doesn't really know what it wants, its too dry to apply a mud mask but it also needs something a little more purifying then a moisture mask and it works a treat! The only thing i will say is is don't use it too frequently if your a sensitive skin girl like myself as i foolishly once used it 3 times in one week and woke up with a pimple the size of a 2p coin on my nose! You've been warned! Also i think this is a great drugstore dupe for the REN Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask. Purchase this mask/peel here.

Yes to Tomatoes Clearing Face Mask £11.99
If you know me then you will know that I am obsessed with all things american so when i saw that Yes to had a section in boots i freaked out and bought this without even thinking but I am very glad i did. This clay mask is great when I want to use a clay mask but don't want to dry my skin out. It is designed for combination skins so it is great at drying out all the oily parts of my face and soothing and softening the dry parts. Perfection. Buy this mask here.

Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It £9
Ah yet another amazing soap and glory product. If you didn't already realise i'm a huge fan of anything soap and glory <3 Now back to the product! Just like the Fab Pore Facial Peel this mask is a vibrant mint colour and smells very minty and fresh. This mask is great for those pesky black heads that I always seem to get (not as often now that i have my clarisonic!) It contains AHA's so is great at getting deep into your pores, exfoliating and clearing up any pesky breakouts. An all round good egg. Purchase this mask here.

Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask £23
Last but not least is this moisture wonder that claims to 'quench skins thirst'. I actually got this in a Origins skincare gift at christmas time and this is why it is not as big as the full size. This mask has save my dry, flakey skin so many times this past winter i don't know what i would do without it! The scent is heavenly and smells like peaches and cream. Yummy! Apply to clean skin as always and it says to leave on for ten minutes but I like to leave it on until it has all soaked into my skin. Using this mask is like giving your skin a big drink and you wake up in the morning with soft, dewy skin. Purchase here.

Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments what your favourite face masks are!

Pamper Night Routine

I don't know about you but I know that I like to take at least one night of the week to pamper myself, usually a Sunday in order to help me relax and prepare for school on Monday. The first thing I do is obviously start running the bath. Lately i've been loving Sanctuary's Foaming Bath Soak (purchase here). It smells heavenly and makes it feel like you really are at the spa and makes an amazing amount of bubbles!
The next thing I do is light a candle. My favourite at the moment is Bath & Body Works' Mango Coconut Cooler (purchase here) which i bought on my recent trip with my family to Florida. Seen as summer is almost over i'm trying to use up all my summer candles before I start using my fall candles.

The next step in my pamper night routine is to remove my make up. Lately my Yes to Carrots Cleansing Wipes (purchase here) have been doing this job and have been doing it very well if i do say! I then like to go in with my Soap and Glory Foamy Moisture Face wash (purchase here) and Clarisonic Mia 2 (purchase here) to actually cleanse my face. I then hop in the bath and carry on with my routine. I must say i'm not much of a reader so when i go in the bath i normally like to put on some music and just check my social media sites like twitter, facebook, instagram ect.

Once i have got fed up of doing that i will move on to the next step of my pamper night routine which is to wash and deep condition my hair. To do this i've been really enjoying the OGX Hydrating Macadamia Oil Shampoo (purchase here) and the KMS Moisture Repair Hair Mask (which is really old so i can't find it any where online for you guys to purchase sorry!)

After i've done all my hair stuff I move on to my body products! You might think that I would use my body wash before using my body scrub but I in fact do it the other was round. Why? I feel like using the body wash with my bath lily after i've used the body scrub just helps get rid of all the little scrubby particles that i didn't get off with my hands. I chose to use my Bodyshop Papaya Body Wash (which has now sadly been discontinued) and my Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub (purchase here) I then rinse off and get out of the bath.

Once out of the bath I like to do a face mask/peel. The one i choose changes every week depending on how my skin is acting. This week i decided to go for my Philosophy Detoxify Oxygen Peel (purchase here). The best part about this mask is that is is dual purpose, not only does it help clear any break outs but it also helps brighten the skin and fade any acne scars and it only takes 1-3 minutes to work. I then go in with my Eau Thermale Avene TriAcneal (purchase here) which is a serum that helps with breakouts and any hyper-pigmentation.

Next i have to inject moisture back into my skin as the facial peel can be a little drying and in order to do this is I use two things, the first is the Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil (purchase here) and the second is the Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream (purchase here). Theres something about the vitamin E range from the Body Shop that my skin absolutely loves and when ever I use it I always wake up with soft, glowing, hydrated skin!

Finally I apply some of my EOS lip balm (which I bought in the states) and moisturise my body with the Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet (purchase here). Everything from the Body Shops Mango range smells absolutely divine and this is no exception.

What are your favourite products to use on your pamper evening? Let me know in the comments below!

Small Boots Haul

It was just another normal day and i was browsing the internet and of course i landed on boots.com, and discovered that Soap and Glory had save 1/3 on selected skincare, so of course i had to buy a few things and of course i couldn't pass up the offer L'Oreal had on. I have tried a few things from Soap and Glory's skincare range before and was really impressed so i have high hopes for these ones.

Soap and Glory Scrub your nose in it. £9
I had been on the look out for a new mask lately and fortunately stumbled across this little gem. What had drawn me in was the fact that it only takes to minutes to dry and work its magic. Perfect for those days when your skin is feeling a little oily but don't have the time for a 15 minute mask. I have only used this once but holy moly this mask is good. You only need a small amount so cover your whole face and once you have applied it, it starts to cool, which i personally think is the best part. The mask contains AHA's to exfoliate the skin and to help reduce the size of pores to get your skin looking magnificent. Once i had removed the mask my skin was as smooth as a baby's bum It doesn't say how many times a week to use it but if you have very oily skin i don't see why you couldn't use it every night! But for those dry skin girls out there like myself, i would recommend using this maybe 2/3 times a week. If you are interested buying this little beauty yourself you can get it here.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean. £8
I have been wanting to try this cleanser out for as long as i can remember now. Ever since hearing miss budget beauty rave about this 3 in 1 cleanser i really wanted to give it a try, and when i saw that it was save 1/3 off i couldn't pass up this opportunity. What i love about the packaging is that it is a pump bottle which is very convenient when using this cleanser in the shower. The best part about this cleaner is the fact that its purifying but doesn't over dry the skin, which most cleansers can do to my skin. I'll have a more in depth review up on this cleaner once i have gotten the chance to try it out properly but i can already tell i'm going to love this cleanser as much as the mask! If you want to buy this 3 in 1 miracle worker you can get it here.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Magic Touch instant blur. £12.99
Ever since running out of my Garnier 5 second blur primer i was on the look out for a new one. As i was browsing the boots website i saw that L'Oreal had save 1/3 on skin perfection products and as i am in LOVE with their moisturiser i thought i would give this one a go. I haven't yet used it but the first thing that struck me was the size. It is so small! I suppose thats the problem with shopping online you don't know how big the products are going to be, well i suppose you could check how much is in it but that just went straight over my head this time.
If you want to try out this tiny primer for yourself you can get it here.

Sanctuary Spa Moisture Boosting Mask Sachet. £2.50
I have had this mask countless times. I can't say enough good things about it. IT IS AMAZING! The only thing i hate about this mask is that it can only be bought in sachets. Sanctuary if you're reading this please make this a full size product! The mask leaves my dry skin feeling and looking beautiful and I can instantly tell a difference right after taking it off. The next day you wake up to glowing, beautiful skin. Flawless. To try this marvellous product, and trust me you want to, you can get it here.

Carex Moisture Puls Hand Gel. £1.45
What can i say about this. Its hand gel. I normally go for the one that is mango and passion fruit scented but they didn't have any on the website so i had to settle for this and i actually quite like it. Its February so that means that it is still freezing in England so that means only one thing, dry hands, but not anymore, not now that i have this moisturising hand gel. Get yourself one here.

Have you bought anything from boots lately? If so let me know in a comment below!

Hope you guys enjoyed my first haul!

Talk to you soon.

Review: Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a face mask junkie, and after hearing the hype about the Ren glycolactic radiance renewal all over the internet i just new that i had to give it a try.

What is claims

A potent bio active peel mask designed to renew the complexion, reduce fine lines and dramatically improve skin tone, firmness and radiance. It has been formulated with a fruit acid complex (lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric) and papain enzyme to give a gentle but potent exfoliating peel that will leave skin glowing and in optimum health. This mask is particularly recommended for congested and mature skin, and works well on post acne scarring, blemishes and blackheads plus sun damaged skin. It is not suitable for sensitive skin types.

What I thought
What first stood out to me was the fact that it says 'not suitable for sensitive skin' and being a sensitive skin gal this caused major concerns for me as I know my skin breaks out very easily when i use anything too harsh. However this mask was completely fine for my extremely sensitive skin and caused no irritation. The mask itself smells absolutely amazing, like oranges, and the texture is jelly like, something I have never experienced when using a face mask.

Before applying any face mask you should cleanse your face. Why? Well look at it this way, whats the point of using a face mask if all its going to do is get rid of the dirt and oil that a cleanser could of. The main purpose of a face mask is to get down into the skin and this is made impossible if there is a layer of dirt and grease getting in its way.

I would then normally exfoliate but considering that this is an exfoliating mask i would skip this step. You don't want to over exfoliate as it can do more harm than good.
The mask comes with a muslin cloth, which you should rinse under warm water, then use remove the face mask.

After removing the mask i like to tone with my La Roche Posay Effaclar toner, then inject some moisture with my hydraluron serum and l'oreal skin perfection moisturiser.

After hearing FleurDeForce say how she could tell a difference in her skin immediately after taking it off I had high hopes for this product. I wouldn't say I was disappointed in this mask but i was expecting more of a 'wow factor' result considering its high price tag of £30. Don't get me wrong this mask leaves your skin feeling very clean and exfoliated but didn't do much for me in the radiance department and considering thats the main purpose of the product i was a little let down so to speak.

Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing this product as i feel that for the price there is much better out there on the market, but if you want to give it a try for yourself you can get it here.

Hope you enjoyed my first review! Let me know if you have tired this mask and what you thought in the comments below!
